I went to see Dr. Kagen for some resonstructive work after an accident. Let me tell you, I was so horrified by how he treated me that there was no way I would let him touch me when I was ready for my Tummy Tuck and Augmentation. I will leave that to the real professionals.

I was a mastectomy patient with silicone implants and went to Dr. Kagan to have them changed to saline. In addition to changing my implants Dr. Kagan gave me a breast lift that not only did I not want but in doing so he made my nipples uneven and my breast were more sagged then before he operated on me. I found Dr. Kagan to not have his mind on what he was doing and totally dishonest about the mistakes he made on me. This happened in 1994 and I am still suffering from his mistakes. Last I looked Dr. Kagan has been sued 4 times for malpractice. That should tell you something because it is very hard to sue a plastic surgeon!

I met with Dr. Kagan in October. He wrote a letter to my PCP and I got insurance approval at the end of November. My pannilectomy was on December 3rd. I am totally amazed at the results. Dr. Kagan and his staff were and continue to be very attentive to my needs. I felt that the office was very professional and helpful. I would highly recommend Dr. Kagan for this procedure. I would gladly use his services again.

After reading those horrible letters about Dr. Robert Kagan I had to respond-Dr. Kagan did my breast reduction surgery five weeks ago-He removed over a pound from one breast and a little under a pound on the other-I look and feel better then I have in over thirty years-Did I mention I am a fifty nine year old mother of six?I had breast down to my waist-My surgery was great,and trust me I was scared to death-If I had not felt so at ease and trusted Dr. Kagan I would not have had this surgery-I checked into the hospital-Dr. Kagan came in to make sure I was doing all right,he knew how scared I was-He told me again what would happen-I was wheeled into the operating room,met the rest of his wonderful team,and then went to sleep-When I woke up I felt a little discomfort,but nothing like I expected-Dr. Kagan kept me in the hospital overnight,because I have severe asthma and he wanted to moniter my recovery-I slept most of that morning-Dr. Kagan came in that afternoon-He checked everything,said I was doing great,and boy was I ever-I had very little discomfort,I did not need anything for pain,and trust me I'm a sissy when it comes to pain-I left the hospital early the next morning-I went to see Dr. Kagan four day's later,and had the drains removed-I looked at my new breast for the first time-I had some red marks around the nipple,and bottom of my breast-I had no stitch marks-Dr. Kagan told me to rub some cream with vitamin E on my breast twice a day,and in time the red would fade away-Well five weeks later and I look wonderful the red is indeed going away-What a change,in my attitude,my posture,and in my breathing-I'm looking great,I feel so good about myself I have lost ten pounds-I'm perky,yes perky,my breast are perky for the first time in thirty years I'm perky again-All I can say is I thank God I didn't read and belive those letters about Dr. Kagan-Everyone knows people feel and experience pain in different ways-I feel after my experience,if they had followed Dr. Kagans instructions more carefully their breast reductions would have gone as well as mine did-I would recommend doctor Robert Kagan to anyone I love and care about-He along with his wonderful office staff has made me care about myself again-

Dr. Kagan was my surgeon for my breast reduction surgery in 2001. When I went to see him, he was very positive and encouraging. He wasn't the best listener, but because he was highly recommended, I figured I could trust him. After the surgery, I had complications with a tear in my left breast. Dr. Kagan basically ignored everything I had to say and told me to go home. The tear, which went ignored, healed terribly. The sizes were also uneven. In addition, Dr. Kagan said that none of his patients had problems with loss of sensation as of yet. Not only have I lost complete feeling in the left nipple, but overall sensation is lost in the majority of the breast. I'd also like to mention that I only had a pound taken out of each breast and therefore shouldn't have been a difficult procedure. Aside of the fact that Dr. Kagan's skill level was below what I expected, I don't think he should be trusted. He is dishonest and a terrible listener.

I had a breast reduction in September 2002. Dr. Kagan removed 3 pounds from each breast. When I went in for the initial visit and pre op visits he was very courteous. However after surgery and since then he doesn't listen to me and he wouldn't personally see me for almost a year. I have to have at least three more surgeries to correct his mistakes. I have been seeing a different plastic surgeon for about six months. I would never trust Dr. Kagan to operate on me again. I had very large open wounds starting under the armpit and was about 8 inches long and 1/2 to 3/4 inch wide. I have terrible scars, lumps, uneven nipples, and very unhappy with the outcome. I know two other people that have had the same problems and met others in the waiting room going through the same thing I was. I was never warned that something like this could happen but it did. So please Be Warned!!!

While I find Dr Kagan very pleasant to talk to, I found his skills to be lacking and he is not nearly aggressive enough when dealing with complications. I can not in good conscience refer or recommend him. He does have a wonderful office staff who goes the extra mile, though.
